Letters, poem, and portrait engraving, 1822-1841.

The collection contains Anster's poem to Robert Southey, poet and historian, addressed to Southey; an engraved sketch of Anster seated at a writing table, drawn by W. Stevenson; and two letters. Anster writes on 6 August 1822 to Thomas Crofton Croker, Irish antiquary and author, for a day when Croker can come visit; and on 30 August 1841 to James W. Glasham, Dublin, praising the magazine and noting printing problems with one of Anster's contributions.
